Cantate Domino canticum novum — sing to the Lord a new song

Every verse, on the wall,
right on cue.

Cantate Domino projects liturgical hymns for congregations: browse your hymn books, build the service playlist, and go live to every screen in the building.

Features

Built around the way a service actually runs

One person prepares and controls everything from a phone or tablet; any number of projector screens follow along over the local network.

Projection

Clean, legible slides

Verses render full-screen in your chosen typeface and size — no clutter, no watermark, nothing between the congregation and the words.

  • Serif, sans-serif, script and monospace faces
  • Light and dark themes, centered or left-aligned lyrics
  • Optional chords above the lyrics for musicians

Playlist

Plan the whole service ahead

Queue up hymns for the service and pick exactly which verses to sing — skipped verses stay visible but out of the flow. During the service, one tap moves the projection to any song or verse.

Network

Go live to every screen

The controller advertises itself on the local network; receivers find it automatically and mirror the projection in real time. No accounts, no internet — everything stays inside the building.

  • Automatic discovery — receivers connect on their own
  • Hand the projection over between controllers mid-service
  • Share playlists and hymn books between devices

External display

Plug straight into the projector

No network at all? Connect the projector or TV to the controller itself — over HDMI or a USB-C adapter — and the attached screen automatically fills with the projection while you keep the full controls in hand.

Editing

Your books, your songs

Download hymn books from a content server, or write and edit your own songs right on the device — slide by slide, with chords and even sheet-music images attached to a verse.

Customization

Set it up once, per device

Theme, font, size and layout are per-device settings — the projector can render the same verse bigger and bolder than the controller's preview, or follow the controller's styling exactly.

How it works

Three steps from hymnal to wall

I.

Prepare

Pick the hymns for the service from your books and choose the verses to sing. The playlist is ready before anyone sits down.

II.

Go live

Start controller mode. Every receiver on the network — a desktop driving the projector, a spare tablet — finds it and connects by itself.

III.

Lead the singing

Tap through verses as the service flows. Every connected screen follows instantly, and you can blank the projection between songs.
